"To me and back again," Alec corrected, not because it meant anything different the way that Richard said it, or because the phrasing particularly mattered, but because he could, and Alec liked to listen to himself speak almost as much as he liked to hear Richard. He knew that this was just another argument that Richard was going to let Alec win.
Another pseudo-argument that didn't change their relationship, didn't mean anything other than the fact that it amused Alec to have it.
Alec leaned in, closing their gap to kiss Richard, to claim and be claimed, to nip at Richard's lips. This was the only thing that mattered right now, and it mattered so much more than it ever had before. It always felt that way.
