Alec badly both did and did not want to know why things were complicated the night before, but he didn't feel that Richard would hold it from him if he asked, and for the moment that was part of what would keep from pressing for every detail. The other part came from what this moment was about, and the fact that Alec didn't want to distract Richard from it when they'd gotten so far.
When he ached to close the deal, when his body was moving against Richard's and there was so much of everything to indulge in. It was a good thing that Alec was as selfish as he was, because this way he could still try to have Richard more than he did.
"You'll have to show me, sometime." Because he can imagine that, can imagine Richard's fury and his heart thumps with the ache of it, even as his hips snap forward, pursuing what he had now.
