As tempting as the thought of satisfaction of on that scale was, Alec knew that he wouldn't be content with Richard's hair and shoulders to touch, knew that he needed them to be so close it would be hard to tell where he ended and Richard began.

Alec didn't need anything to happen before he'd be ready to give himself over, to take everything that he thought Richard was offering (and then some, but that was as much his fault for not really understanding as it was selfishness).

Alec crouched down to join Richard, hands insistent on his shoulders, on his hips, touching and drawing close, teeth nibbling at Richard's neck, too soft to leave a mark but certainly enough to be felt.
